A loan helped to buy 5 animals.

Victoria's story

Victoria is a member of the communal bank “Virgen de la Asunción,” which is located in the district and province of Yunguyo in the department of Puno. She is 52 years old, married, and has 4 school-aged children. She has an elementary school education.

Victoria has a business selling animals such as sheep and pigs. She has been working with the Movimiento Manuela Ramos organization for 8 years. Her previous loan was for 300 Peruvian soles, and she used the money to invest in her business selling animals.

With this new loan of 2,000 Peruvian soles, she will buy 5 animals. She tells us that she buys and sells her animals in the livestock market in Puno, and she fattens her animals for about 4 months.

She is assisted in her business by her children and her husband, who works for the municipality.

Her dream is to see her children become professionals.

What she likes about her communal bank is that the members are punctual and responsible.
