A loan of $375 helped to buy construction materials (cement, blocks, sand, and more).

Felizardo's story

He was born in the Cabo Delgado province in the north of Mozambique. He is 29-years-old, married, and completed his 10th year of schooling and didn’t continue because he joined the military. He is the father to three children ranging from two to seven-years-old. Two are in school. He lives in his own home with his family and is not responsible for anyone else.

He has been a part of the military for three years and has become a part of the Border Guard Agents, specifically in the Namaacha district where he lives. He has been a permanent employee for more than five years and works from 7AM to 3Pm in the Logistics and Finances area earning 5,649 meticais (Mozambique currency) monthly which he uses for household and construction expenses. He also has the help of his wife who is an employee in the Libombos Hotel in the same district and who can sometimes save 1,000 meticais in their bank account.

This is his first loan with Hluvuku in the amount of 10,000 meticais which he intends to use to buy construction materials (cement, blocks, sand, and more) to continue with his project. He has already worked with the World Bank and he heard about Hluvuki through his wife who is also a customer of the institution and plans to make his payments without any problems in order to have access to other loans.
