A loan of $750 helped to buy sacks of organic fertilizer.

Bethy's story

Bethy is 36 years of age. She lives in the city of her birth with her husband and their 2 children in their own home. For 7 years she has been dedicated to agriculture, producing potatoes and grains. At the same time, she raises animals such as bulls, which she acquires very young when they are not yet completely developed, to fatten and raise to the right weight to sell at a good price. In this general manner she earns the necessary income for her family. As to her harvest, she sells that in the commercial market of her city on Wednesdays and Sundays. Approximately every 2 months she sells her animals in the cattle market of her area. All these years have had a beneficial effect on her income, which encourages her to continue her efforts for the welfare and education of her small children. She has worked for several years with her group in the communal bank. This is her 14th loan with MFP. Her perseverence is admirable, as she is one of the associates who has been working with the communal bank the longest. On this occasion, she will continue renewing her effort and her positive attitude.
With the money she will buy sacks of organic fertilizer to sow potatoes.
