A loan of $1,500 helped a member to buy animals (chickens).

Mujeres En Progreso Group's story

The women who belong to this committee are from the city of Caacupé. The group currently has 11 members who are in their first loan cycle. They all work responsibly and in a supportive manner. They came together so that they could work hard in order to meet their needs.

The committee's president is Lourdes who lives with her husband and children. She raises and sells chickens. She has been in this business for some time and so her neighbors know her for the quality of her animals. Through this work, she has increased her income and is thereby gradually enjoying a better quality of life.

Lourdes is requesting this loan to buy more animals so that she can increase the size of her small farm.

In this group: Lourdes, Maria Perla, Maria Liz, Mercedes, Victoria, Cristina, Susana, Dominga, Deolinda, Maria, Tomasa
