A loan of $225 helped to purchase bags of pea seeds to plant.

Raquel's story

Raquel is 30 years old and married to Percy, who is 31. Together they have 2 children, Ronaldo, who is 9 years old, and Jair, who is 3. The family lives in a rented house located in a place called Cumutay. Raquel is a successful woman who has worked cultivating potatoes, peas and beans for 19 years. Agriculture is her main source of income. She likes that she is able to work in the fields very early in the morning, caring for the crops which right now are growing without any problems. Hopefully this means the next harvest will generate good income from her sales in the wholesale market in Tarma, where she regularly carries her crops to sell. In addition to continued work with the communal bank, which helps her maintain her crops and invest capital in her business, Raquel is also working hard now to cultivate and harvest gladiola flowers, the money generated will help pay for educating her children, who are her priority. Raquel is a member of the communal bank called "Pioneros de cumutay", or Pioneers of Cumutay, and this is her 7th loan with MFP. She hopes for your support in helping her continue with her plans. She has committed to make the payments on time. The loan will be used to purchase a bag of pea seeds for the next harvest.
