A loan of $4,525 helped a member to buy milk to resell.

Nueva Esperanza Group's story

The committee called “Nueva Esperanza” (New Hope) is from the city of San Ignacio; it currently has 14 members. All of them are neighbors and friends from the city. They meet with one common goal: to obtain higher income for the support of their households.

Petrona sells milk. Through this work she’s able to cover her expenses. She states that the work is very demanding because she must rise very early to deliver the dairy products because her customers so require.

She asks for the loan to buy more dairy products in order to continue to meet customer demand.
