A loan helped a member to buy milk to later sell.

La Esperanza Group's story

The “La Esperanza” (The Hope) Communal Bank is in the city of San Lorenzo. It currently has 17 members. They all actively work because they know that the work is the only way to get ahead. All of them have the same purpose, and that is to get a better future for their families. The essential requirement of this communal bank is unity because they are supportive of one another.

Primitiva sells milk. She says that her work is very self-sacrificing because she gets up very early every day in order to deliver the milk. She does this so that it is on her customers’ tables at breakfast time.

She dreams that one day she will be able to have a dairy where she can sell her product.

She is requesting the loan to buy more milk. Buying in quantity is more economical. Thanks to this, her profit margin will be greater.
