Milly, a 45-year-old resident of the town of Makindye in the Kampala central region of Uganda, is single and has four children, three of whom are currently in school. For over 10 years Milly has operated a business selling beans and rice, and she also has rental houses.

To help expand her business, Milly has requested a loan of 2000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda to purchase beans and rice to stock for resale in order to generate greater profits and pay school fees for her children. In the future, Milly hopes to expand her business.
