Stanely's story

Stanely is 38 years old and lives in the town of Makindye in the Kampala central region of Uganda. He is married and has three children, all of whom are currently in school. Stanely has a a small retail shoe shop business, which he has run for three years. He also has a produce business that sells beans and maize.

To help expand his business, Stanely has requested a loan of 1,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from Kiva partner, BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase shoes for resale. With the help of his loan from BRAC, Stanely hopes to generate greater profits and pay school fees for his children. In the future, Stanely hopes to expand his business and buy more shoes.
