A loan of $800 helped to purchase fans and make improvements to the premises.

Dálida Rosa's story

Dálida is an enterprising woman, who at her 42 years of age is the owner of a micro-enterprise that has been in existence for eight years. She is a woman who has fought to pursue her dreams, and as the mother of two children, she hopes to be able to offer them a better quality of life in the future.

Currently Dálida generates four employment positions with her business, in which she provides dressmaking services to others. She learned the work 18 years ago and since then has dedicated herself to polishing her techniques, in order to provide a good service and be able to meet the needs of her clientele. However, while she is concerned for her customers, for Dálida her employees' comfort is of great significance, since the place where they work is a closed-in area where the heat often does not allow them to fulfill orders adequately, owing to the heat at times in the production process. For this reason Dálida today is requesting a loan with which to make adaptations to the premises of her micro-business, namely that she will buy fans for bringing fresh air and comfort to her employees, and improve the flooring, which is not of appropriate material for the advancement of the micro-business.

Dálida dreams of one day being able to generate more employment, and of turning her business into a legacy which may improve her finances and future quality of life.
