A loan of $2,550 helped a member to purchase condiments.

Rosas De Franz Tamayo Group's story

The Communal Bank “Rosas de Franz Tamayo” (Roses of Franz Tamayo) is starting its third loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Los Andes Community Center. The group consists of nine members and is led by a Board of Directors headed by Sra. Cinda. The members of the Communal Bank engage in various business activities such as selling food, selling condiments, managing a beauty salon, working as a chauffeur, knitting sweaters, selling blankets, and managing a store.

Sra. Cinda says that she has worked with Pro Mujer for one year and joined the organization after being invited by the godmother of her child. She currently has a business selling condiments. Cinda started working five years ago and learned the business from her brother.

The loan she is currently taking out will increase her capital for buying condiments. She acquires her goods in Desaguadero and sells them on Wednesdays and Fridays by request. Through her work, Cinda is able to generate income to support her family. She is single and has one child.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Cinda said she enjoys the savings.
