A loan of $1,075 helped to buy 35 dozen pairs of shoes of various kinds.

A Florence's story

Florence is married and has three children in her care. She rents a place to live with her small family. Her husband helps her in the household. Florence sells shoes of all types, which she displays near the road within the walls of the Tokpa market, the international market in Benin. She makes her sales in bulk and at retail to the market users. Florence gets her supplies in Togo, a country bordering Benin, and stocks them in a shop in the market. She is on her 7th loan with FINADEV and is seeking a renewal to obtain supplies. One portion of the additional income generated through this financial support will be reinvested in her business, and the remainder will allow her to provide for her personal and financial needs. She would like to have additional varieties of shoes in order to be competitive.
