A loan of $550 helped to contract labourers.

Beatriz's story

Beatriz is 46 and married to Adrian, 48. Together they have a child who is in university. They live in their own home located in the Puerto Mayo town, in the Pichari district. From a very young age Beatriz has worked in agriculture, specifically in the cultivation of cocoa. However, when she started her family, her husband's economic support meant that she was able to acquire a small plot of land where they cultivated cocoa and coffee. With the passing of the years, they had their son Joel. This meant that Joel's dear father has had to sacrifice a lot for him, as Beatriz could not help out and occupied herself with the housework. As their son grew, she was able more and more to work and support her husband in the agricultural tasks. Thus she wants to open a store in which she can sell clothing. This will be her second loan from MFP, so she hopes for the support of each and every one of you in order to achieve her goals. She also promises to be punctual with the repayments of her quotas. With the money that she is requesting, she will invest in contracting labourers to help with the removal of the weeds that are growing in her cocoa fields.
