Bat-Tsetseg's story

Bat-Tsetseg, a 31-year-old single mother, lives with her younger sisters and mother in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Her sisters attend university, while her mother works as an engineer on contract at several companies.

In 2005, with 3,500,000 MNT (Mongolian Tugriks) of working capital, Bat-Tsetseg started operating a sweets and cigarettes wholesale stall at Narantuul, Mongolia's largest outdoor market. Her business has since expanded, and she is now running two stalls and has 6,500,000 MNT of working capital.

Bat-Tsetseg is requesting a 2,000,000 MNT loan to import more products for this summer. In the future she wants to build a new house with her business earnings so that her family can enjoy safe and comfortable living conditions. Bat-Tsetseg is a responsible and hardworking woman who is striving to get ahead and provide a good quality of life for her family.
