A loan of $450 helped to buy plywood and other construction materials.

Jeny Perlita's story

Jeny is a member of the Mujeres Emprendedoras ("Entrepreneurial Women") communal bank of the Calleria District, in the Department of Ucayali. She is 44 years old and married with two children.

Recently, she has participated in 3 loan cycles with the Manuela Ramos organization. Her work is renting rooms. In her home, she has more than 20 rooms, which she rents to very responsible people who make their payments punctually.

With her new loan for 1,200.00 Peruvian new soles, she will buy 10 sheets of plywood, 15 pieces of flashing, and 2 kilos of 1-inch nails, and she will also pay for the services of the carpenter who will carry out maintenance on the rooms in her house.

Thanks to this business, she is able to help out her husband. The investment which she made to build all of these rooms will allow her to provide a secure future to her children, who will be able to study without any hindrances.

She is grateful to the Manuela Ramos organization for the loans granted to her as an individual.
