Javier's story

Javier, 56, lives with Aidé, 56, and their two children in the community of Puerto Mayo in the district of Pichari. Javier is a man who works hard to improve his lifestyle. He is a primary level teacher at the Puerto Mayo educational center. But from a very early age he was taught by his parents to plow the fields and produce crops. After finishing his education degree, he and his wife bought a patch of land to grow cocoa so he would not forget everything his parents taught him.

No he wants to earn more income for his family so he hopes to open a grocery store for the day when he does not have the energy to continue working in the fields. This is his second loan through MFP and his is counting on your support. In his communal bank he is the one who always imposes order. With the loan in the amount of 1,000 PEN he plans to hire workers to clean and fertilize his cocoa plantations.
