Marisol's story

Marisol is an individual loan client with Esperanza. She is located in a rural area surrounding Hato Mayor, an agricultural area. She makes her home here in a simple structure with her long-term partner and their three children.

Marisol is excited to be taking her 7th loan with Esperanza after taking having successfully repaid her previous loan, which helped her to expand her business. After 6 loans Marisol had been able to grow her business and improve her family incomingo. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business to buy rice, flour and other foods. Her business is a "colmado", a place where you can find all the ingredients to make your daily food. Normally those "colmado"s are in the same neighborhood, a short distance on foot from any home.

She will use the profits to invest in her business. Some of the profit will also be saved. Her most important and difficult challenge is to pay for her son's university fees. That is difficult because the cost is very high, but she thanks God to have her business and generate extra income. She thanks you all for your support.
