Francoise is a seamstress who has been sewing outfits from her home for about twenty years. She also sells produce (corn, etc.) She gets her supplies in Benin.
Looking for customer satisfaction, Francoise is requesting a first loan with the members of the Benediction II group. This loan will be used to better meet customers' expectations and to increase their profits.

BENEDICTION II est un groupement de quatorze personnes, dont les membres résident dans le même quartier au Bénin. La représentante du groupe, Françoise (dont la main est levée sur la photo), est âgée de 40 ans et est mariée à un commerçant du nom de Vincent. Le couple a trois enfants, tous scolarisés. En plus de leurs enfants, le couple a un autre enfant à charge. Françoise et son mari vivent ensemble avec leurs enfants et assurent ensemble les différentes charges des enfants. Françoise a arrêté l’école au cours secondaire. Françoise est une couturière qui confectionne des tenues à son domicile depuis une vingtaine d’année. Parallèlement à cette activité, Françoise vend des produits vivriers (maïs, etc.). Françoise s’approvisionne au Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle, Françoise sollicite un premier crédit avec les membres du groupement BENEDICTION II. Ce crédit leur servira à mieux répondre aux demandes de leur clientèle et à se faire plus de profits.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000.
