A loan of $1,075 helped to buy groceries.

Santos Virginia's story

Santos Virginia is 42 years old, married, and has five children. She lives with her family in San Ignacio community. Santos started working for a company when she was very young. However, she then got married and had her first child. In order to care for him, she decided to stop working and stay at home. She decided to set up a grocery store in her home.

The business is quite small but, with the profits she makes, she is able to help her husband with the family expenses. Her goal is to grow her business until it becomes a mini-supermarket and, why not, even a supermarket. Her dream is to see her her children grow up and continue supporting them in their studies.

Santos will use the loan that she has requested to buy basic household products so that she can offer her customers a greater variety of products. She works from Monday to Sunday, from 6.00am until late at night. Her husband and children help her to serve in the store.
