A loan of $375 helped to buy corn and pigs.

Anonymous's story

This borrower is a responsible and hard-working person. For that reason, her friends invited her to join Asociación Arariwa's "Las Natividades" community bank.

The borrower was born in the city of Capi, in Paruro province, in Cusco department, Peru. She is 54 years old, married, and has six children from her marriage. Two of her children are still dependent upon her and the others live independently.

The borrower currently lives in the city of Huarocondo (Anta, Cusco, Peru) and this is where she carries out her business. She has a small store in her home where she sells groceries and 'chicha D. jora' (a traditional, corn-based drink). She also sells 'chicharrón' (fried pork rinds) and soups on public holidays and Sundays, in the city of Huarocondo.

Twice a week, she takes her 'chicharrón' to the city of Aguas Calientes (the city of Aguas Calientes is the home of the eighth wonder of the world - Machupicchu).

On this occasion, the borrower needs a loan to buy corn and pigs.
