A loan of $375 helped to buy pigs and corn.

Anonymous's story

This borrower is a responsible and hard-working person. For that reason, her friends invited her to join Asociación Arariwa's "Las Natividades" community bank.

The borrower was born in the city of Huarocondo (in Anta province, Cusco department, Peru). She is 34 years old, married, and has four children from her relationship who are 10, 8, 3 and 3 months. They all live with her.

The borrower currently lives in the same city in which she was born and this is where she carries out her business. She raises animals such as pigs and also prepares a traditional dish called 'chicharrón' (fried pork rinds). She sells her food in Inquilapata market, in Anta province, during town fiestas and also in other markets.

Another business that this borrower is engaged in is buying and selling corn. She has been in these businesses since she was 8 years old as she used to accompany her parents but, now that she is an adult, she has to look out for the well-being of her own family. On this occasion, she needs a loan to buy pigs and corn.
