A loan of $1,200 helped to buy merchandise including clothing, shoes and silver jewelry.

Liliana Del Rosario's story

Liliana, 53, is a native of the Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua, but she lives in the city of Leon. She is married and has 3 children. She studied to become a lab assistant, but 14 years ago she decided to devote herself to the world of commerce. When she was 38, she started working in retail trade, selling clothing and shoes in an itinerant manner. Today she only has a small glass case where she displays products in addition to those that she sells on the street. She needs a loan to buy merchandise including clothing, shoes and silver jewelry to sell. She wants to sell outside of Leon so that she can sell to new customers, improve her sales, and raise awareness of her products in other departments of the country such as Chinandega, where she thinks it would be good place to sell. Her next goals are to have a general store in the central market of Leon, and to attract new customers in the city of Chinandega.
