Josefina earns a living through making and selling polvoron. Polvoron is powdered milk candy, made of flour, sugar, butter and powdered milk. It is a famous sweet all over the Philippines. Josefina makes a bucket of polvoron daily. She makes packs of 25 and 90 pieces that she sells to store owners.
Josefina is requesting a loan of 16,000 PHP to purchase wrappers and raw ingredients such as flour and sugar for polvoron. She hopes for her business to be stable. She said that although her 24-year-old child is already married, she still wants to support her and someday her grandchildren.
