A loan of $500 helped to buy oil, meat, condiments, fried pork rinds, fruit and vegetables for her business.

Maria Orbelina's story

María lives with her husband and three children aged 28, 14 and 6. Her business is selling food, fruit and drinks. She started out 20 years ago when her mother taught her the business. Now she works from 8.00am to 3.00pm every day since she depends on the profits from her business to cover her household expenses.

María is currently requesting a loan to invest in merchandise for her business. She will buy oil, meat, condiments, fried pork rinds, fruit and vegetables. With this purchase, she will stock her business and have more ingredients available for preparing her food. Her goal is to stabilize her business and better meet her customers' needs. In this way, she will grow as a saleswoman and make more profits.
