A loan of $750 helped to buy three sacks of pea seeds.

Yonocente's story

Ynocente, 47, lives in Palcamayo. He is noted for being a very unassuming, hard working man. He lives in his own house with his wife, Mila, 45, and his only son, Renzo, 16, who he loves very much. Ynocente is a potato, spinach and pea farmer. He heads out to his fields every morning to work the land to insure that it’s fertile and productive. He and his wife work very hard together because they know that caring for their crops with much dedication will lead to higher income and they will be able to pay for their son’s education which entails quite a few expenses.

What he most enjoys about his work is keeping his crops free of insect infestations that can affect them. He’s been in this line of work for 32 years and considers the most difficult part having to transport his products all the way to the Tarma market which is where he sells his crops. He plans to harvest spinach in a few days and sell it for a good market price. Ynocente’s ambition is to own a business of his own so that his wife can stay home and care for the children.

He’s a member of the “Virgen María” (Virgin Mary) communal bank and this is the 6th loan with MFP where he hopes to get a small loan to help him meet his objectives. On the other hand, he commits once again to make his installment payments as he’s done with his previous loans. Also, he enjoys being part of his communal bank because all the members are responsible and very mutually supportive people. If Ynocente were to receive your support, he’ll invest the requested money in the purchase of three sacks of pea seeds.
