A loan of $750 helped to buy more fish.

Gilberto's story

58 year old Gilberto is a very simple and friendly man. He lives in his own house along with his wife, Lita, who is 48. What he most wants is to work very hard in order to improve his quality of life. Gilberto's job is to sell fish. He has a stall in the fishermen's port in the city of Pucallpa, which is very popular with his customers as he sells the freshest and most tasty fish in the market and because he is a very happy vendor who always gives his customers a smile. What he most likes about his work is talking with his customers and joking with them. He has been doing this work for 5 years and thinks the most difficult thing is putting up with the strong smell of the fish as this gets into his clothes and he has to put up with it almost the whole day. For the future, he wants to have a little fridge from which he can sell his fish without fear of them going off in the heat of the sun. This is his third loan from MFP and he is very grateful for it and hopes to be able to make all his repayments on time. He is a well-loved member of his community bank because of the happiness that he brings to the group. He will use the $750 he is requesting to buy more fish so that he can have a greater amount of merchandise to sell.
