Bichiko comes from the village of Ganakhleba in the Dmanisi district. He is 40 years old, unmarried and lives with his father, 90-year-old Guram, who is retired. Agricultural activities, led by Bichiko, are the only source of income for the family. He works on the family-owned dairy farm with 5 milk cows and sells approximately 140 kg of cheese per month to local dairy product retailers. He also has a bee keeping farm with 30 hives and colonies. He sells the harvested honey in the village during the entire year. The family's average monthly income from farming activities is 500 GEL. Bichiko plans to use the requested loan to purchase 10 more beehives with bee colonies. The expansion of the bee keeping farm will allow Bichiko to sell more honey and get more income, thereby improving living conditions for his father and himself.
