A loan of $875 helped to buy a computer.

Rommel's story

Rommel is 32 years old and lives in the city of Cartagena with his wife and two children, ages 3 and 8. He makes a living making advertisements and promotional materials, a business he started when he graduate from graphic-design school. He gained experience when he worked in the creative department for an advertising agency and finally decided to rein in his entrepreneurial spirit and go out on his own and start his own business. At first, he did all the labor to familiarize himself with his services, and he also started doing publicity for his neighboring small businesses, which helped him learn his market. Today, his clients, friends and neighbors all recommend him and his buyers have been growing steadily thanks to the great satisfaction found in the quality of his work. This loan with Kiva is Rommel's first with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, and he plans to purchase a computer because he only has one and that deficiency makes him lose many customers. His dream for the future is to have his own advertising agency and generate sources of employment.
