Ayidekon-Fifa Group's story

Group Ayidekon-Fifa is composed of three residents of the same district in Benin. The group's representative, named Augustine Louise, is the woman raising her hand on the picture. This is the third time that this group is requesting ALIDé's financial support in order to increase their level of activity. Augustine Louise is married to a welder named Thomas and has seven children, who go to school. Out of the seven children, five depend on her financially. Augustine Louise and her husband take care of the family's various expenses together. Augustine Louise did not have much schooling, but she learned sewing. She has been in this business for about five years. In addition to this activity, Augustine Louise sells haberdashery items in her workshop. On the side, she also sells fabrics, shoes, bags and baby linen in her workshop. Augustine Louise gets her supplies in Benin and in Togo. Demand from her customers is growing, and given her limited resources, Augustine Louise is having trouble meeting their requirements. Considering this and their limited resources, Augustine Louise and the other members of group Ayidekon-Fifa are requesting a collective loan from ALIDé.
