A loan of $600 helped to buy merchandise with which to stock his grocery store.

Jose Luis's story

José Luis lives in the town of Emiliano Zapata together with his common-law wife Mayra. The copule have three children who are still in their care: 3 year-old Idar, 2 year-old Miguel and, their youngest, 11 month-old Luismar.

José Luis works on the land. He requested this loan to invest in buying merchandise to stock his small grocery store which he has run for three years and eight months. He tells us that it is doing well and is making him good income.

José Luis' inspiration for his business was his family since, in order to cover their most basic needs, he had to have a business which would provide him with good results and make him more income for his household.

What José Luis wants most of all is for his small business to make him more income. Over time, he would like to further expand his store in order to get ahead in life and provide his children with a better education.
