Book Khol Group's story

The solidarity group Book Khol was created on May 31, 2007. It is composed of women who all live in the same area and who have the same work. The lady in the photo insert (group member) was absent when the photo was taken.

Mariam (standing at the far right in the photo with her hand raised) is the group's official. She is 30 years old, married, and the mother of three children. She sells fruit juices and ice at the district's school.

Her new loan will enable her to finance her business by the purchase of products and ingredients to be sold. Her goal is to help support her children and to boost her savings.
