A loan of $375 helped to buy merchandise (beer, oleo, soft drinks, wine, etc.).

Angelica's story

Angelica was born in the city of Maputo in the province of Maputo in southerin Mozambique. She is married and the mother of one son, who is 3-years-old. She studied through the 10th grade and stopped because she lost her spot when she got pregnant. She lives in her own home with her family and doesn't support anyone besides them.

She never left Maputo. She has had a business for more than 4 years. She makes 12,000 meticals a month that she puts towards her home's expenses. She also saves some in her bank account at the BIM bank.

She has never had a loan with another bank. She became familiar with Hluvuku through neighbors who are also clients of the institution. This is her second loan in the amount of 10,000 meticals, which she will use to buy merchandise for her business (beer, oleo, soft drinks, wine, etc.). Her first loan was for 8,000 meticals.

Her dream is to officially marry her husband, for which she plans to request more loans from Hluvuku.
