Subhani's Group
In this Group: Subhani, Shazia, Zahida, Sakina, Arshad
I am Subhani M., and I am a mother of five: two of whom attend school. I belong to a small town called Kot Radha Kishan in Pakistan. Last year, I started a grocery shop with the loans we received from Asasah, a microfinance institution. Currently, I require another loan to buy stock for my store. The other women who need loans with me are: Shazia B., who needs a loan to expand her beetle nut shop; Zahida B., who needs loan to buy a cow; and Sakina B., who will use the loan to buy a cow; and Arshad B., who requires a loan to expand her milk business. I help these women because I want to help these women to have an important place in their houses and help them provide income for their families.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
