Mudzimai Manhasi Group's story

Joyce (holding the sweater) is 43 years of age. She is from the city of Mutare, the capital of Manicaland province in Zimbabwe. She is married with five children aged 4, 13, 19, 23 and 26. Four of her children attend school. Her husband is in the army.

Joyce runs a business selling clothes. The business has been in operation for two years. She says the main challenges faced are market problems. Joyce has requested a loan of $400 to boost her business stock by buying more clothes such as blouses and sweaters for the winter. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to have an improved lifestyle. In the future, Joyce plans to take her business to the next level.
