A loan of $550 helped to hire farm laborers that will help him prune his cacao plants.

Jose's story

José is 41 years old and he is married to Marcelina who is 37 years old. Together they have two children, Eduardo who is 18 years old and Carolina who is 17 years old. They live together in the Puerto Mayo community in the district of Pichari.

During his teenage years José worked in agriculture, helping his parents with the planting and harvesting. Since then he has made a living in agriculture and he does not regret it as it generates the income that helps him to support his family.

During the growing period he needs workers to speed up the work. The same happens during the harvesting of the fruits, among which are coffee and cacao. He sells these products at the wholesale centers of Pichari.

His plan for the future is to purchase land to continue carrying out this same activity, which will give him more satisfaction. This will be his second loan from MFP and as such he awaits the help of all of you to continue with this endeavor. He will invest the 1,500 nuevos soles that he has requested into the hiring of farm laborers to prune his cacao plants.
