A loan of $1,100 helped to renovate her recreational facility.

Zenaida's story

Zenaida is 31 years old and became a widow at a young age. She has two children, Pedro (age 11) and Jazmín (age 2). They live together in their own home in the central village of Canayre in the District of Llochegua. Zenaida is a hardworking woman who learned how to farm at a young age. When she decided to start her family, she moved to this part of the Peruvian jungle and settled in the central village of Canayre. She used the few resources she had to acquire a parcel of cacao farmland where she now operates a recreational park with a swimming pool and children’s games. Through this business, she is able to generate income for the welfare of her family. It has been a year since she lost her husband due to illness. At that moment, Zenaida had to take over all of her husband’s responsibilities. She does not give up and is excited about continuing the work of her husband. If possible, she would like to improve their recreational park.

This is her second loan with MFP. Zenaida promises to complete her payments on time. She is a woman who is committed to the tasks of her Communal Bank. With this loan of 3000 PEN, Zenaida will invest in the renovation of her recreational facility.
