Segundo Simon's story

Segundo Simon is 50 years old, married, and lives with his wife and children in the canton of Guaranda in Bolívar Province.

The members of the Sacred Heart Communal Bank meet in the sector of Cuatro Esquinas, which is part of the canton of Guaranda and located 15 minutes from the office of Cooperativa San Jose. The Communal Bank consists of 12 members who engage in agriculture, livestock breeding, the sale of their products, and other profitable activities.

Segundo is a farmer who grows potatoes, wheat, and corn. He also has four heads of cattle. Segundo purchases his supplies at the market in Guaranda and sells his products at the wholesale market in the same city.

He is requesting a loan to buy supplies for his crops. With the financial assistance provided through this loan, he will be able to acquire needed supplies. The challenges he faces include diseases that could impact his crops. His dreams including owning a home and increasing his earnings.
