A loan of $1,100 helped to hire day laborers to clear weeds from the fields.

Marino's story

Marino, 45, is married to Cerafina, 47, and their great love has produced four children. They live together in their own house located in the middle of Canayre settlement in Llochegua District.

Marino is a very experienced man. He started working his small plot of land while still very young (his parents gave it to him) growing cocoa beans and gaining much profit from it. At present, with a considerable amount of land, he grows and sells cocoa beans with the goal in mind of improving his family’s quality of life. For Marcelino, his children are his reason to live because they give him strength to continue forward regardless of how full of obstacles his path may be.

He usually sells his products at the local gathering centers and his sales are improving compared to last month and this gives him economic stability. This will be his second loan with MFP and he hopes to get support from each one of you to continue working and providing the best for his family.

He will use the 3000 new soles to clear his fields of weeds that grow between the cocoa bean plants; to do so, he will hire day laborers.
