Marcelino's story

Marcelino, 52, is married to Ernestina, 49. They have three children. They live in their own house located in the middle of Canayre settlement in Llochegua District.

For Marcelino, his work energizes him. Innovation, creativity and being the best he can be day by day have been the keys to his success in life. He has a furniture making shop where his customers feel satisfied with the work he does. However, his carpentry shop still lacks some things. Nevertheless, he figures out ways to efficiently and effectively meet his commitments and deliver in record time. He’s been working non-stop for 20 years.

Despite improving sales compared to previous months he plans in future to acquire machinery for his carpentry aimed at giving his furniture better finishes.

His business is located in a strategic spot within his own community where he works independently. When he gets large orders, though, he hires employees to help him get the work done more easily in a short period of time.

This will be his third loan with MFP so he’s asking for everyone’s collaboration to develop his business. He will use the 1000 new soles to buy more carpentry tools.
