Maria Olga's story

María Olga is 24 years old and married. She lives with her husband and children in the canton of Guaranda in Bolívar Province. María has three children.

The members of the Sacred Heart Communal Bank meet in the sector of Cuatro Esquinas, which is part of the canton of Guaranda and located 15 minutes from the office of Cooperativa San Jose. The Communal Bank consists of 12 members who engage in agriculture, livestock breeding, the sale of their products, and other profitable activities.

María is a farmer who grows potatoes, wheat, and corn on her own land. She also has one dairy cow. María purchases her supplies at the market in Guaranda and sells her products at the wholesale market in the same city.

She is requesting a loan to buy supplies for her crops and feed for her cow. With the financial assistance provided through this loan, she will be able to acquire needed supplies. The challenges she faces include diseases that could impact her crops. Her dream is to buy a vehicle.
