Gregoria's story

Sra. Gregoria is a member of the Communal Bank “Cristo Asencion de Rumichaca”. This Communal Bank is located in the District and Province of Urubamba, Department of Cusco.

She is 55 years old, married, and has four sons and a daughter. Gregoria is in charge of supporting her youngest child, who is 17 years old. She buys and sells handicrafts. Gregoria produces textiles that she uses in making blankets, gloves, ponchos, shawls, all types of fabrics, cloth dolls, and other items. She has a business set up at the doorstep of the Ecoandina Hotel in the Sacred Valley. Gregoria needs a loan to invest in the purchase of materials including different types of wool such as alpaca, sheep, and synthetic. She will also buy zippers, thread, wool dye, buttons, and other items. By requesting this loan, she will be able to acquire the materials for making textiles.
