A loan of $4,200 helped a member to purchase more cosmetics and other hair chemicals for use in her beauty salon.

Glory Be To God Group's story

Thirty-eight-year-old Rose has learned a great deal about how to effectively run a business during the past four years she has been operating her beauty salon. She says she is now at the stage where she can advise business-oriented people on how to begin and run their own businesses. While those who do not know her may question her confidence, this happily married mother of three says that her achievements have arisen frorm the courage of her convictions. The optimistic Rose says she lets negative people slide by like the water from the proverbial duck's back, a philosophy that has worked very much in her favor.

A farmer before embarking on her beauty salon enterprise, Rose also owns and operates a scrap metal sales business. Weekly, this business brings in profits amounting to Ugandan shillings 150,000. With this Kiva loan, Rose will purchase more cosmetics and other hair chemicals for use in her beauty salon.
