Duhorimbere Ii Group's story

Louise is a 31-year-old retailer who lives in Gatumba neighborhood in the Mairie district of Bujumbura. She has been selling rice for six years. This is a trade she took up right after leaving school. She is a single mother of two children, aged 13 and 11, who are enrolled in school. She has a secondary school Leaving Certificate in education.

Her loan of 170,000 Burundi francs will contribute to growing her working capital and thus the quantity of rice she can stock in order to make more profit.
