Tunezerwe Group's story

Jean-Marie is a 54-year old vendor living in the village of Kibimba, in the Province of Gitega, in the centre of the country. He has been selling local beer for six years. He started this line of work after being a bicycle repairman. He is married to Floride, a farmer. They have nine children, eight of whom study, and one is in secondary school. He finished six grades of elementary school.

His loan of 100,000 Burundi francs will allow him to bolster his capital and expand the sales volume of local beer, helping him increase his income.
He is a member of the “Tunezerwe” community group.
