Merlyn is 34 years old and is a married woman. She has been running a small rice farm since 1996. Her husband is also a farmer.
Merlyn helps her husband till their land. Rice is the primary crop that they grow. According to Merlyn, she earns about 5800 PHP per month.
Merlyn's loan will be used to purchase gasoline for the tractor, fertilizers and other farm inputs. She hopes to be a successful businesswoman someday.
