Thang's story

Thang Sokunthy, 34, is the mother of two children and lives with her husband in a part of Kampong Cham province, Cambodia. To aid in meeting her family’s expenses, she runs a stand selling a variety of grocery products to the people in her area and typically makes on average around $7 each day. Her husband is self-employed as a fortune-teller and generally makes around $2 each day.

Thang will use this loan to expand her inventory by purchasing more grocery products to meet her clients’ needs. Additionally, she will buy poultry and pigs to breed for additional income.
