A loan of $800 helped a member to buy sacks of charcoal.

Degnon Group's story

DEGNON is a group made up of three people whose president (the one who is raising her hand in the photo) is called Valérie. The members of the group belong to the same church. In order to grow their working capital, this group is asking for their third loan from ALIDé. Valérie was born on April 7, 1972 in Bénin. She is married to a carpenter named Victorin. The couple have two children, both enrolled in school, and live together with their children. Valérie began selling charcoal at her home 13 years ago. Secondarily, she sells cookies. She buys her supplies in a market in Bénin. This activity generates revenue that she uses to help support the family. This third loan will certainly permit Valérie and the other members of the group called DEGNON to expand their business and grow their clientele and their revenue.
