A loan of $1,550 helped a member to purchase livestock.

Zuurakan's Group's story

Zuurakan, 51, is a leader of this group. She is a widow and has three grown kids. She pursued a profession of a dentist after studying several years in medical school. She works shorter hours due to her age, so she has time for watching the household.

Zuurakan owns several heads of livestock, which keeps her busy. All of her colleagues are sure in the success of Zuurakan, because she is brave to take risks and eager to work hard and face challenges. Zuurakan addresses Kiva lenders for receiving a loan in order to purchase additional heads of livestock and broaden the business. She thanks the lenders for assistance because it helps her financially and in staying confident about the future of her business.
