A loan helped to purchase and insure a dairy cow.

Samwel's story

Samwel is 29 years old and married with one child. He has been farming for 16 years and employs one farmhand. Samwel’s farm produces tea and milk that he sells at the local market in Litein, South Rift Kenya.

Samwel is requesting a loan of 31,200 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to purchase and insure a dairy cow. The income generated by dairy farming will improve his living standards. Samwel states that the amount of land needed for cows is the major challenge for dairy farmers since they need more land to grow feed. He is focused on acquiring more dairy cows in future.
