A loan of $3,800 helped a member to buy coconut, fish, and chicken.

Amor Y Amistad 3 & 4 Group's story

Martire is the coordinator of his group Amor y Amistad 3 & 4 (Love and Peace). He makes his home here in a simple structure with his long-term partner and their two children.

Martire is excited to be taking his thirteenth loan with Esperanza, after having successfully repaid his previous loan and having developed his business by expanding his client base and by buying more products. He has had his business for around eight years, starting with the first loan he received from Esperanza, after some neighbors invited him to join the group. He plans to use this loan to invest in his business by purchasing pounds of fish and chicken to sell, as well as coconuts in order to sell their water. He will continue using his business profits to provide a better life for his family by building their house and by providing warm food, clothing, and for other needs.

His group is located in Samana, a lush rugged peninsula with a burgeoning tourism industry, where most of the group members sell their products in their communities and surrounding areas. Martire thanks you for your support in helping them achieve their dreams of being successful in the future.
